About TCM Acupuncture- Fang's Scalp Acupuncture
The creator of Fang’s Acupuncture, Dr. Yun Peng Fang, was educated Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture by his father when he was
teenage. After graduating from Medical School of Henan (University) 1936, he served for Army as a surgeon. Because of short of medication during the
War II, Dr. Fang tried to use acupuncture for relieving postoperative pain. He found a serial of method to stop pain for surgery with acupuncture.
In the meddle period of last century (1958), he found that the regular acupuncture point, Cheng Ling (GB18) could be used for lower back pain by a
chance. He started his comprehensive research for the scalp acupuncture on thousands patients. He created 21 scalp central points, Fu Xiang, Dao Fu
Xiang,Fu Zang and Dao Fu Zang, Dao Xiang and Dao Zang , the complete Fang’s scalp system. He created Fang’s hand and foot holography
acupuncture and Ti Huan Acupuncture, combined the theory of holography and Traditional Chinese Medicine by many years. He also created the theory
of “general motion-sensation centre” and “peripheral motion-sensation centre”. They are composed of a complete fang’s acupuncture theory.
About 21 Scalp Central Points
There are twenty one principle scalp points, two "Fu Xiang"(Body Holography) and two "Fu Zang"
(Zang-organ Holography) in Fang's scalp acupuncture system. The eleven principle scalp points
are called twenty one principle central scalp points. They are:
1. Si Wei (SW-Thinking): Between frontal eminences. Same with Yintang (Extra 1). application
for hypertension,oligophrenia, nerve headache,hysteria,gastric ulcer, insomnia,dementia,coma and
hypomnesia,etc.
2. Suo Hua (SH-Speach): middle point between eyebrow-middle-line connected line from apex of
ear. applied for motor aphasia,stuttering, dysphonia, oligophrenia,lingual muscular paralysis and
labium muscular paralysis, etc.:
3. Xin Hao (XH-Signal): located at the intersection between front 1/3 and rear 2.3 on the line
from apex of ear to upper 3 cm of external occipital protuberance. Applied for aphasia,insomnia,
hysteria, dementia, epilepsy, headache, etc.
4.Shi Jue (SJ-Vision): located at 1cm right or left lateral to 2 cm upper external occipital
protuberance. Applied for vision disorder, hallucination, headache, dizziness, glaucoma, cataract,
color blindness, diplopia, dysmetria, contraction of visual field, retinits, papillitis, nasal
hemorrhage, etc.
5. Yun Ping: (YP-motion balance): Located at 5 cm left or right front from lambdoidal apex , the
line has a 30˚ angle with sagittal suture. Applied for rheumatoid arthritis, apraxia, dystaxia,
cerebrovscular accident, etc.
6.Ji Yi (JY-memory): Located at 5 cm left or right front from lambdoidal apex , the line has a 60˚angle with sagittal l suture. Applied for dizziness, head
numbness, edema, cerebral dysgenesis,headache, tinnitus,short breath, palpitation, hypomnesia, ect.
7.Shu Xie (SX-writing): Located at 3cm away from left or right rear direction from coronary-sagittal points , the line has a 45 ˚ angle with sagittal l
suture. Applied for agraphia, hypertension, hypotesion, emphysema, cortical edema, chorea, Parkinson's disease and frontal dystaxia, etc.
8.Tin Jue (TJ-Hearing):Located at 1.5 cm upper ear apex. Applied for tinnitus, akoasm, deaf,eye-pain, hypertension, dizziness, hysteria, abdominal
distension, etc.
9.Xiu Jue (XJ-Olfaction):Located at 3 cm front from ear apex . Applied for anosmia, ageusia, rhinitis, dizziness, common flu.,migraine,eczema and
neurodermatitis, etc.
10. Ping Heng (PH-Balance): Located at 2 cm under External occipital proturance then 3.5 cm lateral right or left.Applied for dizziness, Parkinson's,
dystaxia, paralysis,myodystonia and nystaxia, etc.
11. Hu Xun (Breath/circulation): located at 5 cm under External occipital proturance then 4 cm lateral right or left. Applied for rheumatic heart
diseases, arrhythmia, hypertension, cough, emphysema, asthma, dizziness and common cold, etc.
